Approach: Working together, therapy will be a space where you feel heard, validated, and empowered to live the meaningful life you deserve.My therapeutic approach is rooted in evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), and Mindfulness Based Self-Compassion.
Presenting Concerns: My passion is to work with people going through life transitions, grief and loss. More specifically, I extensive experience with suicide bereavement, divorce/separation, job loss, infertility and pregnancy loss, and caregiving. I have also supported individuals with anxiety, depression, work-related burnout, parenting, anger management, self-esteem and body-image issues.
Our sessions will be collaborative and compassionate, as we work together to gain a deeper understanding of your values, goals, and the path you wish to lead. My ultimate goal is to help you find the confidence and resilience to move forward in life, making positive changes and achieving the future you envision.
Education/Training: I hold a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours in Psychology from Lakehead University and a Master of Science in Counselling Psychology from the University of Calgary. I am recognized as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) by the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and hold the designation of Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. With over a decade of experience in the field of psychology, my professional journey encompasses significant roles. This includes serving as a suicide bereavement therapist and youth mental health educator in primary and secondary schools. I bring extensive virtual counselling experience as an Employee & Family Assistance Program Therapist, connecting with clients across Canada. My commitment to professional development is evident through the completion of various training programs, including those focused on Grief and Trauma, CBT, ACT, as well as Mindfulness Compassion.
